"Dr Brown said there was nothing incompatible between Darwin's scientific theories and Christian teaching."

"When a big new idea emerges that changes the way people look at the world, it's easy to feel that every old idea, every certainty, is under attack and then to do battle against the new insights,'' he writes.... "The church made that mistake with Galileo's astronomy and has since realised its error.

"Some Church people did it again in the 1860s with Charles Darwin's theory of natural selection. "So it is important to think again about Darwin's impact on religious thinking, then and now.''

What's the Healthcare System like in England? (Clip from Sicko)

In the new Michael Moore documentary SICKO compares the U.S. healthcare system to that of Canada, France, England, and Cuba. This clip from the movie is a good summary of what the English system has to offer.

Conservative and liberals a like have been really recommending this movie. Fox News recently summarized it by saying, "Filmmaker Michael Moore’s brilliant and uplifting new documentary, Sicko, deals with the failings of the U.S. health care system, both real and perceived. But this time around, the controversial documentarian seems to be letting the subject matter do the talking, and in the process shows a new maturity.” It's definately one worth checking out, if for nothing else, just to see some of the ways insurance companies try to get out of covering your costs!

Michael Moore's Website
